Can anyone take part in capturing an EEG recording?
Absolutely. You don’t need any special training or experience, just an open mind and a memory that you’d like to capture. We will guide you through every step of the way.

How does the EEG recording session work?
We bring a portable, non-invasive EEG headset to your home, or place of convenience. During a relaxed 60-90 minute session, we’ll guide you through recalling a special memory while recording your brainwave activity.

Is the EEG process safe?
Yes! The EEG device is completely safe, painless, and non-invasive. It simply reads the electrical activity on the surface of your scalp. No currents or signals are sent to your body.

What kinds of memories or themes can be captured?
Anything meaningful to you. Some clients focus on memories of joy, grief, love, or any major milestone moments. We'll discuss your intentions during a personal consultation beforehand.

How long does it take to receive my finished artwork?
From recording session to final delivery, the process typically takes 4–6 weeks. Each piece is custom-created, printed on archival canvas, professionally framed and prepared with the utmost care.

Where do you offer sessions?
Currently, we offer in-home sessions across the Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Canberra metropolitan areas. If you're located elsewhere, please get in touch as we may be able to accommodate you or plan a custom arrangement.

Is the artwork an exact picture of my brainwaves?
Not visually, as it’s a creative, data-driven interpretation of your brain's activity during a specific emotional moment, translated into a beautiful, abstract generative artwork. It's deeply personal, but also artistically elevated.

Can someone living with dementia create a Memory Bank artwork?
Definitely. In fact, The Memory Bank can be a beautiful and meaningful way to capture a memory, feeling, or moment of connection for someone living with dementia. Even if memories feel distant or fragmented, the emotional experience is still real and powerful. The brain activity recorded during the session becomes the foundation for a deeply personal, abstract artwork that reflects their inner world, something they, their families, and future generations can cherish.

What if I’m nervous about the EEG session?
That’s completely natural! Our sessions are calm, guided and go at your own pace. Many clients find the process reflective, emotional and even therapeutic.

Can I choose the visual style or colour palette of my artwork?
Our primary goal is to authentically translate your EEG data into art. However, you’re welcome to request preferred tones (e.g. lighter or darker, cooler or warmer colours), and we’ll aim to subtly weave that into the generative process while preserving the integrity of your memory’s "emotional fingerprint."

Is the session confidential?
Certainly. Your memory, EEG data, and final artwork are treated with the utmost privacy and respect. Nothing is shared without your explicit permission.
